Introducing Flood - 3ds Max Plugin

+ Flood is an inhouse tool developed by Frantic Films. Unlike Deadline, the public beta of Flood for 3ds MAx is still not available. Built on state-of-the-art computer graphics research, Flood is Frantic Films in-house fluid simulation suite that provides physically-realistic smoke and liquid effects. Flood allows users to adjust several properties including viscosity, density, surface tension and temperature to create specific fluid effects.
Flood integrates into Autodesk 3ds Max as a plugin and a standalone application, and provides visualizations tools to preview simulation results. Users can examine streamlines, vortices and flow patterns during simulation directly within 3ds Max to achieve the best in cutting edge liquid simulation. Flood has been used in production on Superman Returns, Cursed, Scooby Doo 2: Monster's Unleashed and several upcoming feature films. By combining computational fluid dynamics, simulation visualization, and artist focused scripted controls Flood provides an efficient production simulation pipeline and a flexible research platform.
